Help with problems
Problem
The image looks too bright.
The colors look peculiar.
Possible cause
The exposure time is too short.
The sensitivity is too low.
The
Adjustment
is in the negative
sector.
The exposure time has been
locked at a too low value.
The spot for the calculation of the
exposure time is in an area that
is too bright.
The illumination intensity is too
low.
The diaphragm is too wide open.
The exposure time is too long.
The sensitivity is too high.
The
Adjustment
is in the positive
sector.
The exposure time has been
locked at a too high value.
The spot for the calculation of the
exposure time is in an area that
is too dark.
The illumination intensity is too
low.
The white balance was not car-
ried out correctly.
With brightfield acquisitions, a
black balance has been carried
out.
The PC's color settings are incor-
rect.
Remedy
Reset the exposure time to
matic.
Increase the Sensitivity.
Reset the
Adjustment
to 0, and
subsequently set it anew.
Click the
Unlock Exposure Time
button in the
Camera Control
window.
Shift the spot into the segment of
the image that you want to have
correctly exposed.
Remove ND filters from the light
path, then increase the lamp volt-
age.
Reduce the diaphragm opening
on the microscope.
Reset the exposure time to
matic.
Reduce the
Sensitivity
value.
Reset the
Adjustment
to 0, and
subsequently set it anew.
Click the
Unlock Exposure Time
button in the
Camera Control
window.
Shift the spot into the segment of
the image that you want to have
correctly exposed.
Move ND filters into the light
path, then decrease the lamp
voltage.
Repeat the white balance.
Switch the black balance off.
Set the PC's color depth to at
least 24 bit.
