The excitation dichroic controls which laser lines can be employed at the same time. For instance, the
488 and 515 lines cannot be combined because the 27 nm gap between them does not provide a
sufficiently wide window for green fluorescence to return through the dichroic mirror. About 10 nm on
each side of the potential emission window is needed to allow for filter efficiency.

The important points for this table are:
1) Most dichroics will reflect more lines than stated
2) Non-optimal lines may leak into detectors.
The BS20/80 dichroic reflects 20% of the incident excitation light and passes 80% of the reflected light
to the detection optics.
