How to Use

Logging in to a Printer

You need to log in to the printer to use the authenticated printing.

If the authentication device is not connected

You can log in by entering a user ID and password, a user ID, or an ID number.

1. Select Log in on the home screen of the printer's control panel.

2. Log in to the printer using one of the following methods.

❏ When using a user ID and password

Enter User ID and Password, and then select Log in.

❏ When using a user ID or an ID number

Enter User ID or ID Number.

If the authentication device is connected

You can log in by holding the authentication card over the authentication device.

Note:

When User ID and Password or ID Number is displayed after selecting Log in on the control panel, you can also log in by

entering your user information.
