4. Connect the System Unit Cables

As part of your system installation, you must attach

cables, cords, or terminators to the back of the sys-

tem unit, as follows:

1. Connect a SCSI terminator to the SCSI port,

labeled

in panel 3, when the port is not in

use.

If you have a SCSI peripheral device, remove

the terminator from the system unit and connect

the device to this port using a SCSI cable.

2. Connect the keyboard/mouse extension cable to

the keyboard/mouse port, labeled

3. Connect the video cable for your monitor to the

monitor video port, labeled

4. Connect the power cord for your monitor to the

monitor power socket, labeled

This cord has recessed prongs on the end that

connects into this socket.

5. Connect the power cord for your system unit to

the system power connector, labeled

panel 3. This cord is the one that you will con-

nect to a wall power outlet.

Note: If there is a yellow sticker over the power

connector, your system has factory-installed soft-

ware. You must remove the sticker prior to installa-

tion of the power cord.
