5.2 Executing the SINUMERIK Software Update Tool Vx.y.usz

The following operations / operating states are visible:

● Access to NCU, and start SCI service

● Creation of an NC/PLC/DRV archive

● Creation of a data backup of the CF card

CF card backup

The following three files are generated by the SINUMERIK Software Update Tool when a CF

card backup is created.

The file names of the generated files include the following information:

● Control number ("CF card number")

● CNC software version of the control

● Time stamp

An example of a CF card backup is shown in the following figure.
