General Troubleshooting Information
This section provides general troubleshooting information for the Cisco Unified
IP Conference Station 7936.
Refer to the following table for assistance if you are encountering difficulties.
Problem
No dial tone
IP Conference Station does not
ring
No display on the LCD screen
LCD screen display issues
Resolution
• Check that all connections are tight and in place.
• Make sure that all connections are correct.
• See the "Installing and Connecting the IP Conference Station
to the Network" section on page 11.
• Check that the ringer setting is not "Ringer Off."
• Check the volume level.
• Make sure that the IP Conference Station is communicating
with the Cisco Unified CallManager.
• Check to make sure that there is power.
• Make sure that the power supply is plugged in.
• If you see beat frequencies (scan lines) in the LCD screen when
you are using certain types of older fluorescent lights in your
building, move the IP Conference Station away from the
lights, or replace the lights. This should resolve the problem.
