6. Select YES, and press the rotary encoder.
The upgrade starts automatically.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the memory stick or power off the
unit before the message Complete appears.
7. After COMPLETE! appears, turn power OFF and ON.
Upgrade FP and SS Software
CAUTION:
Upgrade FP ROM first, then SS ROM. Ignore the 4 Hz
tally blink and error code displayed on the LCD panel.
1. Upgrade FP ROM the same way as the AT ROM.
2. The message MEMORY STICK ACCESS appears when power
is turned back ON. (See Figure 3.)
NOTE:
• DO NOT remove the memory stick or operate the rotary
encoder while MEMORY STICK ACCESS is displayed.
• When the message disappears, confirm that FP is V0.00 in
the DIAGNOSIS menu. Ignore the FP version of 0.00; the
FP version will be displayed correctly as V1.03 when
confirmed after the SS ROM upgrade.
3. Upgrade SS ROM the same way as the AT ROM.

Load Settings Using ALL FILE LOAD
Load the settings that were saved before the upgrade as follows:
1. Insert the memory stick containing the backup settings in
the camcorder.
2. Set the MENU ON/OFF switch to ON.
3. Select FILE menu > ALL FILE, and press the rotary encoder.
(See Figure 5.)
4. Select ALL FILE LOAD, and input the file ID.
