Changing the spectrum
analyzer display
You can enjoy changing the display while
listening to the music.
Press SPECTRUM.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
SPECTRUM 1 t SPECTRUM 2 t
SPECTRUM 3 t PATTERN 1 t
PATTERN 2 t PATTERN 3 t
PATTERN OFF*
* The display slightly dims

Singing along: Karaoke

You can sing along with any stereo CD or tape
by turning down the singer's voice. You need
to connect an optional microphone.

Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN to turn down
the microphone control level.

Connect an optional microphone to
MIC 1 or MIC 2.

Press KARAOKE PON.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
KARAOKE PON t MPX R* t
MPX L* t KARAOKE OFF
* Only for CD.
The "m" indicator appears in the display
when a karaoke mode is activated.
To sing karaoke by decreasing the vocal
level of the music source, select
"KARAOKE PON".
To sing karaoke of multiplex CD select
"MPX R" or "MPX L".

Start playing the music and adjust the
volume.

Adjust the microphone volume by
turning MIC LEVEL.

Tip
You can use two microphones connecting to MIC 1
or MIC 2 at the same time.
Notes
• With some songs, vocals may not be canceled when
you select "KARAOKE PON".
• During KARAOKE PON, equalizer and surround
settings cannot be changed.
• If you press EFFECT ON/OFF or recall a sound
effect, the karaoke mode is canceled.

Do this
Turn on your TV and select
the video input.
Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN
and disconnect the
microphone from MIC 1 or
MIC 2, then press
KARAOKE PON
repeatedly until "m"
disappears.
Turn ECHO LEVEL to
adjust the echo effect. To
cancel the echoing, turn
ECHO LEVEL to the MIN.
Press KEY CONTOL # or
2 on the remote to suit your
vocal range. You can adjust
the key higher or lower in
13 halftone steps (26 ~ #6).
This function can be used
on the CD function only.
