Motorola Active Pro (L402C)

USING YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE

Your phone answering machine records unanswered calls when it is activated. It can store up to 59 messages

within the maximum recording time of 15 minutes. Each message can be up to 3 minutes long. Your personal

outgoing messages can be up to 1 minute long.

8.1

Play Messages

In idle:

1. Press <Play/Stop>.

2. The new messages are played from the loudspeaker on the base station in the sequence they are recorded.

3. Press <Up> or <Down> to increase or decrease the volume during message playback respectively.

4. During message playback, press below keys to perform the following functions:

<Play/Stop>: Press to stop playing messages or resume playback.

<Repeat/Annc>: Press once to replay current message from the beginning. Press twice to playback the

previous message.

<Skip/Memo>: Skip to play the next message.

<Delete>: Delete the current message.

<Up>: Increase the loudspeaker volume by one level (1 to 8).

<Down>: Decrease the loudspeaker volume by one level (1 to 8).

8.2

Delete All Messages

1. Press and hold <Delete> on base to erase all read messages (applicable only when messages in ITAD are all

read, new message(s) will not be deleted.)

NOTE

When ITAD is full, ITAD icon will flash if there are new messages which have not been listened. User will need to

delete some ITAD messages to free up the memory.

8.3

Announcement

This is the message your callers hear on the answering machine. There are two pre-recorded outgoing messages,

or you can record your own.

8.3.1

Record the announcement

1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Answer Machine.

2. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Announcement.

3. Press <Menu> to select Record.

4. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select the answer mode Annc & Record or Announce Only.

5. Press <Menu> to start recording after a "beep" sound is heard.

6. Press <Menu> again to stop recording and save the message. The just saved message is played automatically.

NOTE

When playing the message, press <Back/Clear> or <Delete> will delete it and predefined message is played

automatically.

8.3.2

Play the announcement

1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Answer Machine.

2. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Announcement.

3. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Play.

4. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select the answer mode Annc & Record or Announce Only.

5. Press <Menu> and the message will be played.

NOTE

• When playing the message, press <Menu> to stop playing.

• When playing the message, press <Back/Clear> or <Delete> will delete it and predefined message is played

automatically.

Answering Machine Settings

8.4.1

Set the answer mode

1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select Answer Machine.

2. Press <Menu> to select Answer Mode.
