Conventional Operation

Making Conventional Dispatch Calls

Select a conventional channel using the

toggle and rotary select switches.

Press the PTT to talk. If the red LED is

lit, you are transmitting normally (the

channel is clear to use). If you hear

someone else talking while the PTT is

held, the channel is in use. Release the

PTT and try your call again later.

W h e n y o u h a v e f i n i s h e d t a l k i n g

(transmitting) release the PTT switch to

listen (receive).
