Setting passwords
Disabling a user password
To cancel the password that supports the instant and power-on
password functions:

Open the Start menu, point to Settings, Control Panel, then
click Toshiba HW Setup.

Select the Password tab.

Click Not Registered.

Type your password in the Enter Password box and click OK

Click Exit.
Setting a supervisor password
A supervisor password prevents other users from changing
hardware configuration options.

Click Start, then click Shut Down.
The Shut Down Windows dialog box appears.

Select Shut down and click Yes.
The computer shuts down and turns itself off.

Insert the Toshiba Companion Diskette into the diskette drive
and turn on the computer.
After a few minutes, a Welcome screen appears.

The Toshiba Companion Utility main menu appears.

Use the arrow keys to select Exit to DOS.

At the A:\ prompt, type
