3-2. General Operation of Each IC and
Signal Flow
3-2-1. Input Amplifiers (Q408, Q508 and Q608)
These circuits amplify the video signal to the input level
adequate for the gamma process IC (Q701) in the next stage.
The internal circuit possesses the clamp circuit, amplifier
circuit, which controls the gain by the DC voltage sent from
the 8 bit DA for electronic variable resistor (Q905), and
o u t p u t c i r c u i t .
For the input terminals, 16 pins are used, for the output
terminals, 8 pins and for gain control terminals, 4 pins.
3-2-2. Gamma Process IC (Q701)
Fig. 3-2-1 shows the gamma process IC (Q701).

This IC functions to clamp, process gamma and amplify
each of RGB signals. The main features are as follows;

This IC performs gamma control for the panels and make
output signals supplied to the alternation/sample & hold
ICs (Q401, Q402, Q501, Q502, Q601 and Q602) in the
