When using a timer, the power cords of the VCR and the monitor

SPEAKER CONNECTIONS
The unit is equipped with two sets of speaker output terminals.
Selection between normal stereo mode and surround mode
is performed with the SURROUND
switch.
Speaker connection for surround mode:
When setting the SURROUND switch to ON, select the proper
impedance with the SPEAKER IMPEDANCE select switch. (See
page 11 for details)
