OPERATION

TO START

PLAYING

A VIDEODISC

1. Press the power switch to turn on the player.

2.Press

the

REJECT/OPEN

key to unlock

the

hood.

3. Raise the hood.

Be careful not to force the

hood beyond its normal fully open position.

Raise here after the hood

has been unlocked.

Press here after power

has beer turned on.

Turn on power.

4. Turn on the TV set and set the channel to the

same

channel

number

(VHF

channel

3 or 4)

as the player's rear panel CHANNEL

SELEC-

TOR.

If a stereo system is being used, turn the TV set

volume control all the way down.

NOTE:

e Adjust the fine tuning control on the TV set to

obtain

the sharpest picture possible.

This is

particularly important when using the player

for the first time or when using the player with

a different TV for the first time.

5. Insert a disc.

The label of the side to be played should be

facing up.

6. Close the hood so that it clicks shut.

7.Press the

marked end of the PLAY/PAUSE

key on the player (or the PLAY key on the re-

mote control unit).

The disc will begin to rotate and the stand by

indicator will begin to flash on and off. In a few

seconds, the disc will reach its rated speed, a

picture will appear on the TV screen and the

stand by indicator will go out.

NOTES:
