Dual-mono
setting
The dual-mono setting applies only to DolbyDigital
discs that fealum dual-mono material--see the disc
box for details.
Dual-mono discs are recordedwith two independent
charnels that may be played together or separately
depending on the situation. Forexmnple, a guita'
tuition discmight have lhe guita' recordedo,1one
channel and all the other insh'uments on the othe*:Use
the dual-mono setting to play just the guitar part on its
own; just the backing, or eveuthiug logether (thmugh
separate speakers,or mixed).
Youcroft chalge this setting if the Recordmode is
on (seepage 25).
Press SYSTEM SETUP.
Press the 41 or I_ button until you see
CH or MIX in the display.
Use
the •
and
buttons to
select a dual-
mono
setting.
• L-CH1 R-CH2 - default setting (Chl is played
through the left speaker; Ch2 lhmugh the right)
• CH1 -Chlisplayedthmughtheceuterspeaker
(or lhmugh the left aid right speakers if Surround
Off is selected);Ch2 is muted.
• CH2 - Ch2 is played thmugh the center speaker
(or lhmugh the left aid right speakers if Surround
Off is selected);Chl is muted.
• MIX - Chl a_d Ch2 are mixed logether aid played
through the center speaker (or through both left m_d
right speakers if Surround
Off is selected).
Press ENTER.
Adjusting
channel volume levels
I_pending on your room aud where you're sitting, you
may wm_tto _Ijust the relative volumes of one or more
speakers for a more balanced sound. You cm_do this in
auy mode, including the surmund, DSP,aud stereo
modes. Settings that you make in auy sound mode are
completely independent and don't affectany other
mode.
