Practical Information about Economising Energy
- Placing your refrigerator
Place your refrigerator at a place that does is far away
from the sun shine or any heat sources, and that takes a
good ventilation.
- The right temperature settings
If you set your refrigerator to colder temperatures, it will
consume more energy.
- Placing the food into your refrigerator
In order for your food to be kept in the best conditions,
there has to be a sufficient amount of air circulation
inside your refrigerator. If you place more food than the
capacity of your refrigerator into it, the efficiency of the
air circulation will drop and it will cause the compressor
to work more than necessary.
Alarm buzzers and visual warnings
Doors open alarm.
Should the appliance doors remain open for longer than
two minutes, an alarm buzzer sounds and/or the light
inside the Fridge/freezer will begin to flash. The buzzer
will be silenced and the flashing will cease when the
doors are shut.
Abnormal freezer heating alarm.
To signal an excessive heating on the part of the freezer,
a buzzer will sound and A2 comes up on the display: we
recommend you empty out your freezer and check the
conditions of the food, as it may be necessary to throw it
away. Under no circumstances should the food be
refrozen.
- Fridge and freezer compartment covers
Open the covers of the fridge and freezer compartments
as little as possible. With each opening of the doors you
will cause for a loss of the cold air. In order for your
refrigerator to reach the optimum coldness again, its
compressor will work and this will cause an increase in
the energy consumption.
- Control of the gaskets
Always check the inner gaskets of the doors and keep
them clean. This will help you to keep the leaking of cold
air under control.
- Hot food
Placing a hot pot into the fridge compartment will cause
the temperature to rise. Therefore, wait until they cool
down to room temperature before you place them into
your refrigerator.
The buzzer can be silenced and the visual signal
cancelled by opening and shutting one of the fridge-
freezer doors.
To go back to normal operating conditions, set the
freezer knob to position
turn the appliance back on.
