The unit is a photoelectric smoke alarm device. The
photoelectric technology is more sensitive to detecting slow

a little heat and may smoulder for hours before bursting
into fl ames. The smoke alarm device does not contain any
material which is harmful to the environment.
The smoke alarm device should be installed in every room
(except bathrooms and kitchens), and all other living areas,
to ensure the alarm can be heard from anywhere in the home
and you can respond accordingly. For minimum protection,
you should fi t an alarm in all hallways, living rooms,
bedrooms and child rooms, placing each unit in the middle
of the ceiling of each room for maximum protection.
