Information
Electrical Shock Hazard
*To prevent the risk of electric shock,
or injury, be sure to disconnect
power before cleaning or servicing.
l
If any electrical
problem becomes
evident during use, disconnect
power to hood at fuse or breaker
box.
*Carefully clean electrical
connections,
switches and motor so
that water will not saturate materials.
Failure to follow these instructions
could result in a fire, electrical
shock
or personal injury.
Fire Hazard
l Clean lint and grease from all hood
surfaces.
Failure to follow this instruction may
result in a fire.
To remove filter:
Pull firmly on tab to remove filter from
range hood.
Combination
filter:
Filter should be removed and checked
periodically
to maintain operating
efficiency. When filter becomes
saturated, replace the filter. There is no
method of re-activating
the filter for
reuse.
To reinstall filter:
Place edge of filter in opening so top is
behind flange and tab faces
downward.
Press filter into position.
Fan motor
Note: The fan comes on automatically
when the temperature
at the sensor
reaches 122°F.
Every three years lubricate each motor
bearing with a few drops of oil to help
prolong motor life.
To clean fan motor:
Clean exterior of motor with a damp
cloth and grease-cutting
detergent.
Operation of
range hood
Fire/Electrical Shock Hazard
Do Not use a solid-state speed control
device to operate range hood.
Failure to follow this instruction could
result in a fire, electrical shock or
other personal injury.
For best results, turn range hood fan on
at beginning of cooking and allow it to
run until all smoke and odors are
removed from room.
To turn fan ON and OFF:
Open door to turn fan on and adjust fan
speed. Speed may be increased-or
decreased
anytime during range hood
operation, Close door to turn fan off.
When flaming foods under
the hood, turn the fan off. The
fan, if operating,
may spread
the flame.
Exterior surfaces
Clean the range hood with a mild
detergent
and soft cloth. Do Not use
abrasive cleansers or steel wool pads.
