Turning on and off the FM diversity
When an FM station is tuned in, each time you
press the Direct 5 button ® while pressing and
holding the BAND button 53 (double press), FM
diversity turns on and off. When FM diversity is
on, "DIV On" lights and when off, "DIV OFF"
lights in the display.

Note:
• When two antennas are connected, the FM diver¬
sity should be "ON". When one antenna is con¬
nected, it should be "OFF" (factory setting is
"ON"). Wrong setting may cause noise.
Area change
When you listen to the radio outside the U.S.,
use this function.
Switchable frequency setting
This car stereo is initially set to tune in frequen¬
cy intervals of 10 kHz for AM and 200 kHz for
FM, the standard calibrations in the U.S. When
using the unit outside the U.S., use the following
procedure to switch the frequency range.
The table below lists the frequency specifica¬
tions for the U.S. and other countries.

Changing area
Outside U.S. (New Setting)
While pressing and holding the BAND button 53,
press the Down button ® (double press). The
initial setting changes to the new setting (outside
U.S.).
Inside U.S. standard (Initial Setting)
While pressing and holding the BAND button @3,
press the Up button 5D (double press). The new
setting (outside U.S.) returns to the initial setting
(inside U.S.).
