5 New Features of 10.3.3 b 106

Version 10.3.3 build 106 is intended to be a SPAR release for the HFT, and PUN controllers.
The following features were added as part of those SPAR fixes.

5.1 Additional Postscript functionality

Versions of FreeFlow Accxes prior to 11.3 did not apply the Accxes contrast/lightness settings to
PDF or PostScript prints. These settings may now be used to adjust contrast and lightness on
PDF and PostScript prints.
The internal selection of tone curves and halftone screens for PostScript/PDF files has been
improved for certain document types

5.2 Postscript Interpretation level for PDF

This allows users to control technical details of how PDF files are printed. All PDF files are
internally converted to PostScript for printing. This new selection (on the Postscript emulations
tab in WebPMT) allows a choice between conversion to PostScript Level 2 or PostScript 3. Prior
versions of Accxes had always converted to PostScript 3. Setting this selection to "2" may allow
certain files to print. However, it may also prevent other PDF files from printing; the default
setting of 3 should always be chosen unless specific PDF printing problems arise.

5.3 Support for new IOT firmware releases

Support was added for the new releases of the following IOT firmware versions:
721:
6030/6050:

5.4 880mm paper support for 6030 and 6050

If 880mm paper is loaded and configured on the 6030/6050 it will be recognized by the FreeFlow
Accxes controller. The 880mm media will be displayed and used for printing and copying.
