[Pseudo Black/White binary] or [Gray multi level] converts the level automatically.

Additional functions

Other functions are available when scanning document.

– Edge erase

– Timer check

– Save

– Save position

Edge Erase

This function erases the images on the outer edge of the document (top edge, bottom

edge, left and right edges). The amount of edge erasure can be set within 50mm, by 1mm

increment.

Timer Check

Check the time from the point of completion of image data transfer to host computer to

the point of completion of scanning next document. When the time-out occurs, scanner

control will be invalid

Time-out time can be set between 1 to 120 minutes by 1 minute increment. When time-

out occurs, [Wide Format TWAIN] dialog box will be displayed. To start scanning a

document again, click on [Start] button of [Wide Format TWAIN] dialog box.

Save

You can save the custom scanning parameter by clicking [Save] button. If you want to

set it to default, press [Reset] button.

Save position

Save the position of main screen.

The main screen will be opened at the same position from the next time.

Chapter 3 Functions

• [Black/White binary] cannot be specified when [Photo] or [Picture] is

selected.

• Document type and Edge erase become invalid when [Gray scale] or

[Gray multi level is specified.

• The maximum scanning length is 48 inches when [Gray multi level] is

specified.

This function cannot be specified in Scan & Copy mode.

• Edge erase is not available when [Synchronized] mode is selected.

• If the length is specified over 8000mm in [Custom Size], Edge Erase will be invalid.
