Please read the following safety requirements and operation
instructions provided in this booklet before using the Automotive
Charger. Retain this booklet for future reference and use.
The purpose of RIM's Automotive Charger is to enable you to
recharge your BlackBerry Wireless Handheld in a vehicle.
DO NOT USE YOUR HANDHELD WHILE OPERATING A
MOTOR VEHICLE.
It is unsafe to use your handheld while operating a motor vehicle.
If you need to use your handheld while operating a motor
vehicle, ask a passenger to do so on your behalf. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CONNECT THE AUTOMOTIVE CHARGER TO
YOUR HANDHELD WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING.
It is unsafe to plug the Automotive Charger into your handheld
while operating a motor vehicle. You can use the Automotive
Charger with your handheld turned on or off while your vehicle is
stationary or in motion. However, due to the coordination required
to plug the Automotive Charger cable into your handheld, connect
the Automotive Charger to your handheld only when your vehicle
is stationary.
IN THE EVENT THAT YOU USE THE HANDHELD WHILE
OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR
OWN RISK, AND MAY BE IN BREACH OF THE LAWS AND
REGULATIONS OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH YOU DRIVE.
RIM ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS OR
DAMAGE
ARISING
OUT
OF
SUCH
USE
OF
YOUR
HANDHELD BY YOU.
Please note that the engine of your vehicle must be running, and
your vehicle's battery must be operational in order for the
Automotive Charger to charge your handheld.
DO NOT USE THE AUTOMOTIVE CHARGER OUTSIDE OR
IN AN AREA EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS.
The Automotive Charger is for indoor use only. Never spill liquid of
any kind on the Automotive Charger or your handheld.
DO NOT PLACE THE AUTOMOTIVE CHARGER OR YOUR
HANDHELD
BEING
CHARGED
ON
ANY
UNSTABLE
SURFACE AND KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
