If the Automotive Charger is placed on any unstable surface, such
as a dashboard, it may fall, thereby potentially causing serious
injury to a child or adult and/or serious damage to your handheld.
Place the Automotive Charger in a secure and stable spot and route
the cable in a way that reduces the risk of injury to others (including
injury due to tripping or choking). The Automotive Charger should
be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the
marking label.
Never push objects of any kind into your handheld through
openings as they may short-out parts that could result in a fire or
electric shock.
Unplug the Automotive Charger before cleaning it. Do not use
liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a dry cloth to clean the unit.
Immediately unplug the Automotive Charger from your handheld
and from the Cigarette Lighter Adapter (CLA), and refer the
Automotive Charger for service to qualified service personnel if:
The CLA, serial port connector of the Automotive Charger or
the serial port of your handheld is damaged.
Liquid has been spilled on the Automotive Charger.
The Automotive Charger has been exposed to rain or water.
The Automotive Charger becomes very hot to the touch.
The Automotive Charger has been dropped or damaged in any
way.
The Automotive Charger does not operate normally by
following the instructions contained in this booklet.
The Automotive Charger exhibits a distinct change in
performance.
Use of the Automotive Charger is specifically limited to use in
accordance with the directions provided in this booklet. Improper
use or failure to observe the safety requirements may result in
damage and/or personal injury and will often require extensive
work by a qualified technician to restore the Automotive Charger to
its normal operation. Do not attempt to disassemble the
Automotive Charger.
