Upgrading to BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP6 MR2
If you upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP6 MR2 directly from a version of BlackBerry Enterprise
Server that is earlier than version 4.1 SP6, you must complete the following upgrade path:
•
Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP6. After the setup application completes, do not start the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server services.
•
Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP6 MR2. After the setup application completes, start the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server services.

Install the maintenance release
1.
While logged in to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server computer, close the BlackBerry Manager and the BlackBerry
Configuration Panel.
2. In the Windows® Services, stop all BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.
3. Double-click besg416mr2.zip.
4. Extract the setup program files to the local drive on your computer.
5. Browse to the location of the setup program files.
6. Double-click besg416mr2.msp to run the executable.
7. Click Update.
8. Complete the configuration screens.
9. Click Finish.

Description
This maintenance release works with BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP6 for Novell®
GroupWise®.
1. On the taskbar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel or Start > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the list of currently installed programs, click BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise.
4. Click Click here for support information.
5. Verify that the version number is 4.1.6 (Bundle 65 or 79).
Install this maintenance release on a remote computer that hosts a BlackBerry Router, BlackBerry MDS
Connection Service, BlackBerry Collaboration Service, or BlackBerry Manager.
The maintenance release installation program requires access to the installation media that was used to
install the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Depending on how the software was installed, this might be a
product CD or a network location.
