Recommendation
When time zones are mistakenly listed as having Daylight Saving Time, Microsoft Exchange experiences
issues. If possible, set your BlackBerry device to a time zone with an equivalent offset from Coordinated
Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time). This might result in difficulties when one of the two time zones
switches to, or from, Daylight Saving Time. For more information visit http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support.
On the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the wireless calendar synchronization feature works only for new entries
with start dates within the previous 30 days. An additional restriction exists with Microsoft Exchange: the
wireless synchronization feature does not synchronize new entries with start dates before the activation time
of the BlackBerry device. This restriction applies only to wireless calendar synchronization. The BlackBerry
Device Software synchronizes calendar entries successfully regardless of the start time of the entry.
Using Microsoft Outlook Web Access to create and change meeting requests might cause issues with wireless
calendar synchronization on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Create, modify, accept, and reject meeting
requests using the BlackBerry device, not Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
Use the Microsoft Exchange System Manager to install new versions of the cdo.dll file. Certain versions of the
Microsoft Exchange Server and the Collaboration Data Object (CDO) for the Microsoft Windows® operating
system are incompatible. The Microsoft Exchange System Manager tool tracks compatible versions of the
Microsoft Exchange Server and the CDO for Microsoft Windows and makes sure that the cdo.dll file you install
is compatible with your Microsoft Exchange Server.
