The ServeRAID M5215 option includes the following components:

RAID controller

Flash power module

Replacement 2-drive backplane

The following figure shows the adapter, flash power module and backplane that are included in the option. The

included backplane replaces the standard backplane that came with the server. The backplane also serves as

the conduit to route the PCIe signals from the second processor to the RAID controller.
