Battery safety
To find out if your device's battery is user-removable or not, check the guide that came
with your device.
If your device's battery is not user-removable
Warning: For your safety, the battery in your mobile device should only be removed
by a Lenovo-approved service center or independent qualified professional. (See your
warranty for restrictions.)
To avoid damage to your battery and injury to yourself:
» Don't try to remove or replace the battery yourself.
» Don't try to take apart or fix your mobile device.
» Don't crush, bend (except for normal hinge use), or expose your mobile device to
heat or liquid.
» Don't put your phone in a microwave oven, conventional oven, or dryer.
If your device's battery is user-removable

» Don't use tools, sharp objects, or excessive force to insert or remove the battery.
» Don't try to take apart or fix your battery.

to give the best performance.

Battery charging
Charge your phone using a compatible Lenovo charger or a high-power USB port on
a PC. You can leave your phone connected to the charger even after it's fully charged.
Don't worry, you can't overcharge your phone.
» Only use Lenovo-approved batteries, which contain safety circuitry and are designed
to give the best performance.
» Don't use a damaged charger or charger cable to charge your device.
» Don't use tools, sharp objects, or excessive force to clean the USB port, as this may
damage your mobile device.
» Always plug your charger into an electrical outlet that is easily accessible, and unplug
your charger from the electrical outlet when not in use.
» Don't try to charge your mobile device when it's wet.
Note: Other brand class 2 Limited Power Source USB chargers that comply with USB
1.1, 2.0, 3.0, or greater, and comply with EN301 489-34, IEC/EN60950-1, IEC/EN62368-1,
or equivalent can be used. Chargers that do not comply with these standards may be
unsafe, and may cause slow charging, product damage, or reduced device performance.
Distractions
Using your mobile device in some circumstances could distract you and may cause a
dangerous situation. Be aware of your surroundings and environmental hazards when
using your mobile device.
Driving precautions
Take care when using a mobile device or accessory while driving a vehicle. Always
prioritize your safety and the safety of others. Follow the law. Local laws and regulations
may govern how you can use mobile devices while driving.
» In areas where laws allow using mobile devices while driving:
• Keep your eyes on the road.
• Enter destination information into a navigation device before driving.
