SCENT TABLETS

NOTE:Unplug cleaner beforechangingpaper bag. Cleanermust havepaper bag in place at all times.

TYPE:

1. To Remove:Squeezefront panel releaseleverandpulltowards you (Diagram 1).

2. Grasp cardboard collarof paperbagwith bethhandsandpull pastraisedlocking tabs onthe dirt tube. Disposeof oldpaperbag, (Diagram 2).

3. IMPORrrANT: E xtendbegawayfrom holebefore installing.Pressin openingto clearpaperaway from hole, (Diagram3).

4. To Install: Push cardboardcollar pastraised locking tabs on the dirt tube with both bands. Be sure paper bag is fully extendedand tuckedin at the top andbottom,

(Diagram4).

5. Replace front panel by puttingthe two bottom tabs in theslots on the vacuum.Pushfront panelso release leverat_chee, (Diagram5).

BELT OR BRUSHROLL REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT:

TOOL REQUIRED:

PHILLIPS

SCREWDRIVER

NOTE:Unplug cleaner before changing be# or brushroll. Turncleaner over. Baseshould layfiatandface up. Screwdriver required. Toremove

nozzleguard, removetwo screws near rollers. Next,releasetwo hooks on nozzle guard by pushing outward asshown by the arrows,(Diagram 1).

Gently push up on rear of nozzle guard. (NOTE:Some models may also have two screws at the rear of the nozzleguard).

TO REMOVEBELT:Be sure belt is off motor shaft. Liftandremovebrushroll. Disposeof old belt, (Diagram2).

TO REPLACE BELT:

1. Slip bruehroll through belt. Placebelt in areaof brushroll w ithoutbristles, (Diagram3).

2. Loop belt aroundmot(x shaft, (Diagram4).

3. Insertbrushroll intoside holder#1 andthen#2. Follow direction of a_rowson brushendcape+ (Diagram5a,). Rotatebrushroll t o makesurebeltis not twisted, (Diagram5).

4. Replacenozzleguard. Match the front tabs to theslotson thenozzle basefirst. Swingdownto snaphooks, Pressfirmlyon entire nozzleguardto fit intoplace. Replace eli

screws, (DiagramB).

IMPORTANT: Rotate brushroll by hand before starting cleaner.

HOW TO CHECK FORA CLOG: If there is no suction at the end ofthe hose,a dog may be in the baseofthe unit.To clear clog: 1. Removehosefrom

the nozzle.Presslatchon nozzleconnector andpullup. Lift dooronthe nozzle endgentlyclearthe blockage, ( Diagram 7) or 2. Removenozzle

guard(Seebeldbrushroll removalsection above- Pg. 4) andgentlyclearthe blockage.
