Jaw Cleats

Socket Nuts (D)

3. Securing the Splice

i. Ensure lower pole section (B) is securely anchored in base. (See step 2)

ii. Lift upper umbrella assembly (A) and settle onto reduced end of

lower pole assembly (B).

iii. Rotate upper pole (A) to align holes in upper pole with holes in lower pole (the cleats

will be on the same side as the lower pole's pre-secured socket nut).

iv. Install both socket screws (C) from opposite side of the upper pole as the cleat.

v. Attach both socket nuts (D) to ends of socket screws(C).

vi. Tighten both socket screws with provided allen wrench (E) to secure upper and lower

pole (Only the serrated portion of the nut will be visible and the head of the screw will

fit snug against the inner pole section, leaving only an eighth of an inch visible on the

pole. See lower pole section).
