6. Maintenance and storage
1. Never correct the safety devices. Check their proper function regularly.
2. Check bolts and screws for proper tightness at frequent intervals to keep the wood splitter in
safe condition. You should also visually inspect the wood splitter for any damage and repair if
necessary.
3. Before cleaning, repairing or inspecting, stop the engine (SPLSE2204) / Electrical
(SPLSE2206) and make sure the impeller and all moving parts are stopped. Disconnect the
spark plug cable.
4. Do not adjust the engine speed. The controller controls the maximum safe
operating speed of the motor.
5. Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels when necessary.
6. Follow these instructions for safe reading and unloading, transport and storage of the wood splitter
7. Never store the wood splitter or fuel tank indoors where there is an open fire, spark or
sleeper such as a water heater, oven, dryer, etc.
