5.1.5 Troubleshooting

Problem

High head losses across the

filtering cartridge

Water draw from discharge

valve

Increase

the

pressure

downstream

the

pressure

reducer in the presence of a

boiler

The pressure reducer do not

maintain the pressure set

Water leakage from the upper

part of the pressure reducer

Cause

Dirty filtering cartridge

Discharge valve not completely

closed (dirt in the o-ring seat)

Filter out of phase

Water overheating, increase of

water volume.

Foreign bodies in the shutter

gasket

Pressure

reducer

membrane

damaged

Solution

Activate back wash

See paragraph 5.1.6 "Discharge valve cleaning".

See paragraph 5.1.5 "Placing the filter in phase"

Install an expansion tank.

Open the pressure reducer and clean the

gasket. Check the filter which is probably not

properly working.

Replace the membrane.
