3.1. Power Supply
The DFA can be operated either with a 24 V
► AC (Terminals 9 + 10)
At these terminals a 24 V
be able to provide an output of at least 10 VA. If the 24 V

3.2. Control Inputs
If the DFA is being supplied by 24 V

► Connecting (Terminal 4)
A short operating pulse at this input results in the flange-mounted RCCB being switched on. If it is
already connected, no switching will occur.
► Disconnecting (Terminal 3)
If a short operating pulse is given at this input, the mounted RCCB will be switched off, provided it has
not already been disconnected.
Note: If a continuous signal is present at the signal inputs, e. g. because a button is sticking, then the
relevant function will be executed only once. All other functions may continue to be used.
3.3. Switching Outputs
The DFA is equipped with a relay output which signals the status of the RCCB (if blocked). It is pos-
sible to switch smaller loads via this relay contact or, in the case of bigger loads, with the aid of an
installation relay.

Operating Instructions
4.1. Rotary Switch Settings
Three operating modes can be selected with the rotary switch on the enclosure cover:
