Connecting Components

NOTE: Keep the meter bore clean and free of dirt and debris during installation.

1. Remove all I.D and O.D edge burrs on the pipe ends. (see Figure 4)

2. Clean and apply primer to the pipe ends, ﬁttings and meter. (see Figure 5)

Note: The joint cementing sequence in 5 and 6 below is for general reference. Use the

sequence best suited for your piping and overall layout.

3. Following the PVC cement manufacturer's instructions, apply PVC cement to a

meter end and ﬁtting and quickly assemble while the cement is ﬂuid. Hold the

cemented parts together for at least 30 seconds.

Repeat for other end of meter. (See Figure 6)

4. Attach meter with attached ﬁttings to pipe ends using the same "cement and hold"

process used above. (see Figure 6)
