About Your Auto Heater/Defroster
This American Red Cross product is designed to supplement your car's internal
heating/defrosting system. It will provide auxiliary heat and defrosting capabilities
in the event of a road incident.

Mounting the Auto Heater/Defroster
You should mount the base in the center of your dashboard, with the Auto
Heater/Defroster facing the front windshield. See the image below for
suggested mounting location. Be sure to avoid contact with any airbags or
electrical controls for your vehicle. If you are unsure where these are located,
consult your owner's manual or an auto repair
professional familiar with your vehicle make and
model.
Mounting Screws
Find appropriate location for the unit to be
mounted. Screw the 2 mounting screws
(included) through the mounting holes on the
dashboard mount directly to your dashboard.
Using Your Heater
Plug heater cord into your 12-volt power source.
Position the heater on your dash or other desired
location. Turn switch to Heat position. Your heater
uses a 20-amp fuse located in a fuse holder on the
cord. If necessary, replace with same fuse type and
rating only.

Using Your Fan
Plug fan cord into your 12-volt power source. Position the fan on your dash or
other desired location. Turn switch to Fan position. Your fan uses a 20-amp fuse
located in a fuse holder on the cord. If necessary, replace with same fuse type and
rating only.
Use as a Defroster
Plug heater cord into your 12-volt power source. Pull out retractable handle.
Turn switch to Heat position. Slowly wave over windshield until it is adequately
defrosted. Return the unit to its base before attempting to drive. If you operate
it on in the base, turn and point the Heater/Defroster at the windshield for best
results.
