Customization of rockers

The rockers can be customized with symbols and texts,

for more information see the standard library on the eki-

nex

catalog or the website www.ekinex.com. On request

it is also possible a customization with symbols and texts

chosen by the customer.

Protection for construction site

A protection for construction site is included in the delivery

of the device. The protection is made of thermoformed

transparent plastic and avoids the dirtying of the device

caused by the painting of the walls. Two reliefs in corre-

spondence of each rocker allow the operation of the chan-

nel also when the protection is applied on the pushbutton.

If necessary the protection for construction site can be

ordered separately with the code given in the table.

Mounting

The device has degree of protection IP20, and is therefo-

re suitable for use in dry interior rooms. The installation of

the device requires the following steps:

a) fix the metallic support (5) with the screws supplied (6)

on the wall box (7) provided with suitable fixing holes;

b) snap a square frame (2) of the form or flank series,

inserting it from the rear of the device (4);

c) enter the bus terminal, previously connected to the bus

cable in its slot on the rear side (see also: "Connection

of the KNX bus line"). At this point it is recommended to

carry out the commissioning of the device (see also "Con-

figuration and commissioning") or at least the download of

the physical address;

d) mounting the device on the metallic support supplied

(5) with the screws (3). The correct mounting of the device

occurs when the bus terminal is located in the lower part;

for mounting the device follow also the indication TOP (ar-

row tip pointing up) on the rear side of the device.

e) snap the four rockers (1) on the device.

The 4-channel pushbutton can be mounted only on a

round or square wall flush mounting box. If necessary,

the metallic support for mounting on the wall box can also

be ordered separately using the code shown in the table.

Switching, display and connection elements

The device is equipped with mechanisms for switching, 2

LEDs for each channel, a programming LED and a pro-

gramming pushbutton and a terminal block for connection

of the bus line.

Switching elements

• Pushbutton (2) for switching between the normal and

programming operating modes

• Mechanisms (4) for independent switching of single or

group of loads (to be completed with square or rectan-

gular rockers)

Display elements

• LED red (1) for indication of the active operating mode

(on = programming, off = normal operation)

• Green and blue LED freely programmable e.g. for

feedback status and orientation nightlight

Note. Programming pushbutton and LED are only

accessible from the rear side of the device. It is bet-

ter addressing the device before the final assem-

bly of rockers and frame. Once the addressing has

been carried out, the device configuration can be la-

ter downloaded without pressing the programming

pushbutton.
