Operating Your Custom Hearing
Instrument
Inserting The Battery
Insert one battery (size #312 or #10A depending on your hearing aid
model) by opening the battery compartment and ensuring that the + sign
corresponds to the + sign on the battery compartment. If you are
unsure of your battery size, please contact your hearing healthcare
professional.
Operating
Switching on/off
To switch the hearing aid on, move the on/off - switch (5) to position M.
To switch it off, move it to position O. If the switch is integrated in the
rotary volume control (4), you have to rotate the volume wheel toward
the front (face), to turn your instruments on. To turn your instruments
off, turn the volume wheel toward the back of the head. Hearing
instruments not equipped with an on/off - switch, are switched on/off by
closing or opening the battery compartment.
Automatic Models
Incorporated in your hearing aid is an automatic comfort level program.
Volume control setting is achieved automatically.
VC Models
These models are equipped with a rotary volume control (4). To
increase volume, rotate the wheel toward the front (face).
Xenon SM PLUS Models
These instruments are equipped with a push-button switch (3), which
works as program selector. To change the program, press the switch.
You will hear one beep for program one, two beeps for program two, etc.
Every time the hearing aid is switched on, it will revert to program one.
