Programming Remotes:
The Circuit Board has a built in receiver and the remotes, supplied as part of the operator kit, will have already been
programmed to the operator at the factory. To add addi onal remotes (up to 64) refer to 'Programming Remotes'
on page 16.
In addi on to triggering the operator to open and close, remotes can be programmed with the following features:
Addi onal opening & closing bu ons:
Each remote can be programmed with mul ple open and close bu ons. An example of this feature is
programming one bu on to open & close the garage door and a second bu on to not only operate the door
but also to open and close a gate or switch on security lights.
Remote Holiday Lockout:
Any bu on (or mul ple bu ons) on a remote can be programmed to enable or disable the Holiday Lockout
feature. When ac vated, the display on the operator will change to LO. Placing the controller into Holiday
Lockout will prevent any remote from ac va ng the operator un l Holiday Lockout is deac vated. This
feature is useful to prevent any members of staff or contractors from entering the garage while the owners
are away.
Courtesy Light Opera on:
The operator has a built in LED light and whenever the operator is ac vated, this Courtesy Light will switch on for a
period of 5 minutes. During a power failure, however, the Courtesy Light will only remain on for a period of 1
minute.
In addi on to the standard Courtesy Light opera on, the built in LED light can also be switched on and off using a
remote control bu on, without ac va ng the operator. To achieve this, a dedicated bu on on the remote must be
programmed to the operator. Pressing this designated bu on on the remote will ac vate the light for a period of
one hour, unless it is switched off using the same bu on again.
During a power failure the courtesy light will switch off a er one minute, even if the dedicated light bu on is
pressed.
An Crush Gap:
The An Crush Gap is the 30cm space towards the end of the door closing cycle, before the door is fully
closed. This is a built in safety feature to prevent the entrapment of people or animals by the door.
The following will happen if the operator receives a trigger from a remote (or the bu ons on the operator) while the
door is already in mo on:
If the door is closing, the door will stop briefly and then reopen to the fully open posi on.
If the door is opening and it is stopped within ±30cm of the fully closed posi on, it will con nue opening when it
receives the next trigger to prevent it from closing on a child or animal.
If the door is opening, and it is stopped further than ±30cm from the closed posi on, the door will start to close
when it receives the next trigger.
Door opera on during low ba ery and power fail condi ons:
Lb
The operator will flash an
(Low Ba ery) error message due to excessive opera ons, long power failure or a
damaged ba ery.
Lb
While the
condi on persists, the door will not close automa cally. This is to prevent a person from being locked
out of the garage. The door will have to be closed manually by releasing the Manual Release Mechanism.
Note: If the door is stopped during a power failure while it is closing, it will not automa cally reverse back open.
Auto Close Func on:
The operator can be programmed to automa cally close the door a er a programmed period of me. Auto Close
can only be ac vated if Safety Beams have been installed. When enabling the Auto Close func on the Safety Beam
func on will automa cally be enabled.
