Basic Settings
You can perform settings on the camera, such as setting the camera owner's name and setting
the date and time.

Click the [Camera settings/Remote shooting] button.
The camera settings window appears.

The basic settings window appears.
Click again to close the basic settings
window.
You can shoot photos remotely. For remote
shooting, refer to
Chapter
4.
The above window shows information
displayable when EOS-1D Mark II N is
connected. The displayed information varies
depending on the camera model connected.

Select the item to be set and specify the settings.
The settings are applied to the camera.
The display switches to the
image download window (p.1-7).

If you select the [File] menu
[Exit], EOS Utility exits, including the camera settings
window.
The above window shows information displayable when the EOS-1D Mark II N is
connected. The displayed information varies depending on the camera model
connected.
With the EOS-1Ds and EOS-1D, the [Format] item is displayed and you can initialize the
memory card. Initializing a memory card deletes all the data and the data cannot be
recovered. Check carefully before initializing.
You can show/hide the shot
settings window (p.3-3).
You can show/hide the basic
settings window.
You can enter up to 31
characters and register the
camera owner's name.
You can set the Personal
Function (p.3-8).
Closes the window.
