Performing Detailed Edits in the Edit Image Window

In the edit image window, you can select one image from multiple images and perform detailed edits on the selected image.
The functions of the edit image window are the same as those of the main window (chapter 1) and of the edit window (chapter 2).
For detailed instructions on operating these functions, refer to the page described with each item.
Select multiple images in the main window.

Click the [Edit image window] button.

The main window switches to the edit image window.
The image clicked in the thumbnail image display area
is displayed in the image display area.
A low resolution image is displayed first, and then it
switches to a high resolution image.
Alternatively, you can display this window by selecting
[View] menu
[Edit in Edit image window].
The edit image window switches to the main window.
Shows/hides the thumbnail image display area.
Shows/hides the tool palette.
Displays grid lines on the selected image.
Fits the image in the window.
Scales down the image 50%.

When you display an image in a larger size, you can
change the display position by dragging the image.
Displays the operation mode (p.1-20).
Displays the coordinates of the cursor position and
the RGB values (8-bit conversion) of an image.
Select the [View] menu
[Change thumbnail position] to change the position of the thumbnail
image display area.
To delete an image from the thumbnail image display area, select the [File] menu [Delete from list].
To quit the edit image window, click the [Main window] button.
For some images, it may take some time to switch to the high resolution image.

Menu bar
Displays the [Digital Photo Professional], [File], [Edit], [View],
[Adjustment], [Tools] and [Window] menus.
Displays the image at 100% (actual pixel size).
Scales up the image 200%.
Selects the previous image.
Selects the next image.
The path for the image and
file name are displayed.
Displays the color space ([RAW] is displayed
for RAW images) of the image and the work
color space (p.1-9, p.1-21).
You can select whether the tool palette is displayed as another window or displayed
within the same window (p.1-21).
For information on shortcut keys, refer to the "Shortcut List" (p.5-3).
Rotates the selected image 90° to the left or right.
Saves all the images in a single operation (p.1-16).

When you set CMYK simulation profile (p.1-21),
[CMYK] is displayed. The CMYK simulation
display can be canceled temporarily by holding
down the <space> key on the keyboard.
