Setups
The Duality DX is optimized for use as a boost with adjacent noise-gate in 2CM
and this is where it shines. However, in some applications, it might be useful to
kill even more noise generated by other sources in the chain, e.g. preamps or
pedals that are located behind the Duality. For these cases, the Duality DX offers
a separate noise-gate-input to use in 4 cable arrangement. The Duality DX can
even be used as a standalone noise-gate. In that case, the boost input can be
used as key-input for the gate. The signal has to be split before the Duality, e.g.
by using the separate outputs that some tuners offer.
In 4CM and gate-only configuration, the gate threshold should be kept relatively
low compared to 2CM to achieve similar results.
