1.3.2 C2X Installation

The HYP-3048 is designed to be used with the C2X Line of fiber patch panels. When the panels

are received, the 19" mounting bracket will be uninstalled. For use in the HyperX frame, it is

recommended to install the mounting bracket in the middle front-to-back position, as shown in

the below figure.

When installing the C2X panels, two different clamping systems are typically used. These

include "onion" clamps, which offer two variations of exit from the chassis: a direct, horizontal

version as seen in step 2 (C2X-CLAMP) and an upward-angled version (C2X-CLAMP-A). For

lower-strand counts (like a 288-fiber LC/UPC patch panel, C2X-P281LS), one onion clamp is

recommended for the panel, in the desired orientation.

If using a panel with 2x 144-Fiber paths, we recommend installing both clamp/cable systems

before installing the panel in the lineup – if the clamps are not placed in the C2X before panel
