Eliminating minor faults

Before you call Customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault your­
self based on the following information.
Customer service will charge you for advice even if the
appliance is still under guarantee!

Odours from the compartments
The motor runs continuously
A layer of frost occurs in the
compartment
Temperature inside is too warm
Doors can't be closed easily
The light is not working

Possible cause
Mains plug has not been inserted properly.
The fuse has been switched off or is defective.
Power failure.
The ambient temperature is too low.
It is normal that the refrigerator is not operating
during the automatic defrost cycle, or for a short
time after the appliance is switched on to protect
the compressor.
The interior is dirty.
Some food, containers or wrapping cause odours.
It is normal to frequently hear the sound of the
motor, it will need to run more when in following
circumstances:
Temperature setting is set colder than

necessary.
A large quantity of warm food has recently
Ø
been stored within the appliance.
The temperature outside the appliance is
Ø
too high.
Doors are kept open too long or too often.
Ø
After your installing the appliance or it has
Ø
been switched off for a long time.
Air outlets are blocked; insufficient ventilation;
door not fully closed.
You may have left the doors open too long or
too frequently; or the doors are kept open by
some obstacle; or the appliance is located with
insufficient clearance at the sides, back or top.
Appliance is not tilted to the back about 15 mm.
Something inside is preventing the doors from
closing.
LED light is automatically switched off due to the
door beeing kept open for too long.
LED light is damaged.
Remedial action
Check whether the power cord is plugged into
the power outlet properly.
Check the fuse; replace if necessary.
Check the circuit of your power supply.
Try setting the chamber temperature to a colder
level to solve this problem.
Clean the interior.
Check that the air outlets are not blocked by
food and ensure food is placed within the appli­
ance to allow sufficient ventilation. Ensure that
door is fully closed. To remove the frost:
~ chapter "Cleaning the appliance".
Do not open the doors unnecessarily or longer
than necessary; check clearance of appliance.
Check tilting and correct by turning the adjust­
able feet, if necessary. Check interior and
remove obstacle.
Close and reopen the door to reactivate the light.
Have the LED light be replaced
