Introduction

The Builders Trestle(s) you have just purchased was supplied by Dermot
Redmond Engineering of Bunclody, Co Wexford. Provided the instructions for
the operation and maintenance of the trestle are followed, it will work
perfectly for many years.
The trestle handrail system has been designed in compliance with the Working
at Height Regulations and has been fully tested in accordance with: BS1139
Part 4 1982.

Safety and Assembly Notes

Prior to assembly of the trestle the user should familiarize themselves fully
with the contents of this document and pay particular regard to the safety
notes provided.
On hand over of the trestle to any third party, a copy of these safety
instructions should be given to ensure that they are aware of the safety
procedures. Please call our office on 053-9377082 should you require some
more copies of this safety booklet.
1. It is recommended that the user wear suitable gloves, head protection
and safety footwear during the erection and dismantling process.
2. Always visually inspect the component parts prior to erecting the system.
Do not attempt to use any defective parts.
3. Ensure the ground is solid, level and clear of other materials.
4. The safe working load of the trestle is clearly marked on the sticker on
each trestle.
For example:
A typical bale of 4'' solid concrete block, with 44no. Blocks per bale, weighs
approx. 880kg
