Atlantic 73876 Product Manual
Introduction
Thank you for choosing Atlantic's Stainless Steel and/or Copper Finished WaterWall Spillways,
constructed of durable, corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel. Copper Finished WaterWall
Spillways have an additional antique copper plating over the stainless steel for a warm
traditional look.
Atlantic's WaterWalls are designed to mount at the top of the water wall and plumb to a water
supply hidden inside the wall. They greatly facilitate the construction of water walls by
eliminating the perforated pipes, manifolds or open troughs typically needed to evenly
distribute water across the top of the water wall, and the valences required to hide them.
The WaterWall's attractive copper finish or brushed stainless steel appearance provides a
clean, finished look at the top of the wall, and the modular design allows multiple 24" units to
be placed side by side to create water walls of any width.
ATTENTION
316 stainless steel withstands corrosion when immersed in swimming pool water because the
chlorine concentration is typically mild (1 – 5 ppm). However, the areas above the waterline that
get splashed frequently are extremely susceptible to corrosion. As the water that splashes on
the stainless steel evaporates, the chlorine left behind becomes highly concentrated. These
deposits are very corrosive and will discolor, rust, pit, and corrode stainless steel regardless of
grade if not maintained properly. 316 Spillways used in swimming pool installations should be
rinsed regularly with fresh water to remove accumulated chlorine deposits.

Installation

• Atlantic WaterWall Spillways are constructed of 316 Stainless Steel, resistant to corrosion
caused by chlorinated and saltwater pool environments. They are not intended for use in
water gardens or any pond with plant or aquatic life.
• WaterWall Spillways are designed to mount on top of masonry and framed walls, and
plumb directly to a 1½" supply inside the wall. The spacing between the 1½" female fitting of
the Spillway and the overhanging lip that delivers water to the face of the wall leaves room
for 1/ 2 " concrete board covered with 1½" of decorative fascia.
• WaterWall Spillways have a ¼" bonding lug for grounded pool installations.
• Copper WaterWall Spillways have two small holes in the top rear corners that are required for
plating. The holes are sealed with silicone plugs. Plugs must be installed to seal the
WaterWall during use. Two additional silicone plugs are included.
