Bosch 8 Series Getting Started

What to do first

Clean inside the oven and accessories. After connecting the appliance to the power (or following a
power cut), the settings for initial use are shown on the display.
Note: You can change these settings at any time in the basic settings.
Setting the language.
"English" is the default language.
1. Turn the control wheel to set the
required language.
2. Touch the next text field to confirm.

Setting the time.
The time starts at "12:00".
1. Touch the "Clock" text field.
2. Set the time using the control wheel.
3. Touch the "Complete the settings" text field
to confirm.

Scroll through the levels to see which dishes are
available with Bosch Assist.
The dishes are organised in an intuitive menu:

1. Touch the Menu field - the list of operating
modes are displayed.
2. Touch the "Assist" text field - the categories
are displayed.
Meal
Cleaning the cooking compartment.
1. Before using the appliance to prepare food
for the first time, you must clean the cooking
compartment and acessories.
2. To remove the new-appliance smell, heat up
the cooking compartment when empty and with
the oven door closed.
3. Ensure that the cooking compartment does
not contain any left over packaging , such as
polystyrene. Before heating up the appliance,
wipe the smooth internal parts with a soft, wet
cloth. Keep the kitchen ventilated while the
appliance is heating up.
4. Adjust the settings to Top/bottom heating at
240 °C for 1 hour.
3. Touch the required category - the foods in the
category are shown.
4. Touch the required food - the individual dishes
are displayed.
5. Touch the required dish - the settings for this
dish will appear. For many dishes, you can
change the settings to suit your needs.
For some dishes, you must set the
weight instead.
6. Press the Start/Stop button to begin. The
cooking time counts down on the display. Once
the cooking time has elapsed, an audible signal
sounds. The appliance stops heating. Once
your food is ready, switch off the appliance
using the On/Off button.
