Introduction
The Quick Guide contains only part of programming
barcode labels that are often used, and is for
omnidirectional scanners with single-line scan mode
only. (A08-OLS60, A08-OLS60-H)
Please see the following instructions to program your
scanner.
1.
Locate the single-line switch button on your
scanner. It can be used to emit a single line
pattern to scan the labels contained in this guide.

Press the single-line switch button to scan the
Enter/Exit programming label.
3.
Scan all necessary labels to configure the scanner
for your application.
4.
Scan the Enter/Exit programming label again to
save the changes.
The scanner must be properly powered before
programming. During the programming mode, the laser
scanner will acknowledge a good and valid reading with
a short beep. It will give long beeps for either an invalid
or bad reading.

Laser Safety
The laser scanner complies with CDRH Class IIa and
the IEC 60825-1: Class 2. The scanner contains
internally a Visible Laser Diode (VLD) whose emissions
do not exceed the maximum limits as set forth in the
above regulations. Class lla and Class 2 products are
not considered to be hazardous to human.

Enter/Exit programming
All program setup must start and
end with reading this barcode to
save any changes.
The reading of the "RESET" label
turns all the parameters back to
default values.
Reset
The reading of the "ABORT" label
discards all the parameters read
prior to the "End of configuration".
Abort
The reading of the "SHOW
VERSION" label will show the
firmware version.

USB Mode
The USB mode is effectively a keyboard emulator works with
hosts that are USB-compatible operating systems and have USB
ports. USB compatible operating systems are Windows 98,
Windows NT 5.0 and Mac OS 8 and later, no additional software
is needed since the USB driver support is built into this operating
system.

mark parity, 1 stop bit, and CR/LF terminator message.
