Proper use

•

This product is intended to decorate outside areas around the

house, terrace, balcony and garden. The rechargeable battery

charges during the daytime via the solar cell ﬁ eld. The accu-

mulated energy allows the LED light to illuminate in the dark.

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use.

•

Only use the product as instructed. Any other use is deemed

improper.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

Important notes

Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material

away from children and animals.

■

The products are not a toy! Keep children and animals away

from the products to avoid injury.

■

Do not look directly into the light emitted by the LEDs. It is very

bright. Your eyes could be injured.

■

Do not disassemble the products (except for removing the

rechargeable battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only

have the product repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by cus-

tomer service.

■

If a rechargeable battery leaks, make sure that the battery acid

does not come into contact with your skin, eyes and mucous

membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-

fected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek

immediate medical attention.

■

Rechargeable batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of

in ﬁ re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.

■

Do not allow the products to fall and do not subject them to

severe percussions.

■

Do not use the products if they exhibit visible damages.

■

Never submerge the products in water or other liquids! They

are only splash-proof.

■

To enable an automatic activation of the LED lights, the prod-

ucts may not be situated near other light sources such as street

lamps or other lamps.

■

Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard.

■

If you do not intend to use the products for a prolonged period,

turn them off and store them in a dry place.

■

Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is clean to ensure the greatest pos-

sible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasionally with a

damp cloth. Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners to

clean the products! They could damage the surface.

Product contents and overview

Start-up

Depending on the solar irradiation, the solar unit's recharge-

able battery must charge for approximately 6 to 8 hours in

order for the LED lights to illuminate.

Do not set up the solar unit in the shade (e.g. under the

canopy of a tree). It should be capable of absorbing direct

sunlight the entire day to the extent possible.

1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils

(e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld) or stickers. Check all parts for any

damages from transport. Should you identify any transport

damages, please promptly consult customer service.

2. A sliding switch is located on the solar unit. Switch the solar

unit on by moving the sliding switch to the AUTO position.

3. Insert the ground spikes in the receptacle on the solar unit and

into the receptacles on the bottom of the lights.

4. Mount the solar unit in a place where it is exposed to as much

direct sunlight as possible for the entire day (ideally in open

areas, not underneath trees etc.).

5. Insert the ground spikes in the ground. Make sure that they are

ﬁ rmly anchored in the ground and that the cables do not pose

a tripping hazard.

6. Sunlight will now charge the rechargeable battery. At dusk, the

solar lights will automatically turn on. At dawn, the solar lights

will turn off and the rechargeable battery of the solar unit will

be recharged via the solar ﬁ eld.

7. Switch the solar unit off if you do not use the solar lights for a

prolonged period of time by moving the sliding switch on the

solar unit to the OFF position.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it

available to the collection service for recyclable materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. The product does not belong in the household gar-

bage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric

and electronic equipment. For more information, please

contact the administration in your community.

The rechargeable battery must be removed and disposed

of separately from the product before disposing of the

product. The rechargeable battery is located in the solar

unit. Screw the black protective cover off of the battery

compartment and remove the rechargeable battery.

To protect the environment, batteries and rechargeable

batteries may not be disposed of together with normal

household waste. Instead they must be turned in at ap-

propriate collection points. Please also observe applicable

statutory provisions regulating the disposal of batteries.
