Danger symbol: This symbol indicates dangers of injury.

Read through the associated safety instructions care-

fully and follow them.

Important Notices

Danger of Injury!

■

The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals un-

supervised with the product in order to avoid injuries!

■

WARNING — Danger of Suffocation! Keep children and ani-

mals away from the packaging material.

■

WARNING – Danger of Strangling! Make sure that the prod-

uct is always kept out of the reach of small children and ani-

mals.

■

WARNING – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! Batteries

can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the product out

of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed,

immediate medical attention must be sought.

■

CAUTION – Danger of Tripping! Make sure that the light

chain does not represent a tripping hazard.

■

CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If a bat-

tery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear

protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse

the affected areas with abundant clear water straight away and

seek medical assistance immediately.

■

The product is intended to be used for decoration of areas in-

side.

■

The product is designed for personal domestic use only and is

not intended for commercial applications.

■

The product should only be used as described in these instruc-

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

■

Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the "Technical Data".

■

Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of

different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.

■

Take the batteries out of the product when they are dead or if

you will not be using the product for a prolonged period. This

will prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

■

Remove a leaking battery immediately.

■

The LEDs of the light chains are not replaceable. The light

chain must not be used any further if any LEDs are mechani-

cally damaged.

■

Protect the product from naked ﬂ ames, wet conditions and per-

sistent moisture as well as collisions.

■

Do not take the product apart. In the event of any damage,

please contact the customer service department.

■

If necessary, wipe down the product with a damp cloth. Do not

use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean

the product! They could damage the surfaces.

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-

age. If you ﬁ nd any damage, do not use the product, but rather

contact the customer service department.

Before Initial Use

1. Remove any protective ﬁ lms and stickers. Never remove the

rating plate!

2. Place the clips on the LEDs.

Inserting / Changing Batteries

PLEASE NOTE: Before inserting the batteries, check whether the

contacts in the product and on the batteries are clean, and clean

them if necessary.

1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the ar-

row (towards the light chain) and remove it.

2. Take used batteries out if necessary and insert 3 new 1.5 V

batteries of the AA type. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+

/ –) (see inside of battery compartment).

3. Reattach the battery compartment cover and slide it shut. It

must click audibly into place.

If the performance of the product diminishes or it starts to ﬂ icker,

the batteries should be replaced.

Putting Into Operation

1. Hang up the light chain in a suitable location.

2. Attach up to 20 pictures, slips of paper or similar items on the

clips.

3. Slide the On / Off switch to the ON position to switch on the

light chain.

4. To switch off the light chain, slide the On / Off switch to the

OFF position.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly

manner and take it to a recycling centre.

This product is governed by the European Directive

2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment

(WEEE). Do not dispose of the product as normal domestic

waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via

an ofﬁ cially approved waste disposal company.

The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the

product and disposed of separately from the product at a

suitable collection point.
