7. Detection settings and configuration

7.1 Detection range

The detector's overall range is determined by
the lower beam range.
• The upper beam must always be parallel
to the ground
• The lower beam must be adjusted in
relation to the position of the lower lens (2
m or 5 m mark).
• Given that the 2 beams must be
simultaneously broken to trigger an alarm,
the detector range is limited to the lower
beam range as shown in the diagram
below.
A. no detection: only the lower beam is broken.
B. detection: the lower and upper beams are
broken.
C. no detection: only the upper beam is broken.

• The lower lens is factory-positioned for
detection at 5 m. If 2 m detection is
required:
1. Unscrew and open the front panel.
2. Unclip the lower lens and rotate it 180°
before repositioning it.
