Alternate Arming Methods

Away Arming
Arming the system in the Away mod e will have all interior zones and p erimeter zones a ctive. If motion
is d ete cte d in the interior zones, or if one of the p erimeter zones is violate d, the alarm se quenc e will
b e gin. To arm in the Away mod e, enter your a c c ess cod e and exit the premises through a d esignate d
Exit/Entry door. The system will re cogniz e that oc cup ants have left the premises. O nc e the exit d elay
expires, the system will b e fully arme d.
Audible Exit Fault
In an attempt to re duc e false alarms, the Audible Exit F ault is d esigne d to notify you of an improp er
exit when arming the system in the Away mod e. In the event that you fail to exit the premises during
the allotte d exit d elay p eriod, or if you do not se curely close the Exit/Entry door, the system will notify
you that it was improp erly arme d in two ways: the keyp a d will emit one continuous b e e p and the b ell or
siren will sound. If this oc curs, you must re-enter the premises, enter your a c c ess cod e to disarm the
system, and then follow the arming proc e dure a g ain, making sure to exit the premises in the prop er
fashion.
Stay Arming
This fe ature, if ena ble d by your installer, will allow you to arm the p erimeter zones while le aving the
interior zones ina ctive so that you c an remain on the premises while the system is arme d. When you
enter your se curity cod e to arm the system and do not exit the premises through a d esignate d Exit/
Entry door, the system will arm in the Stay mod e, automatic ally byp assing the interior zones.
The interior zones c an b e re a ctivate d at any time by entering [
the interior zones, b e sure to only inha bit are as not covere d by motion d ete ctors. To a c c ess are as
prote cte d by motion sensors, you must enter your se curity cod e and disarm the system.
Arming Without Entry Delay
If you wish to arm your system without the entry d elay, enter [
light will flash as a remind er that the system is arme d and has no entry d elay. An entry through any
zone programme d as a d elay zone will cre ate an instant alarm.
Quick Arm
When the Q uick Arm fe ature is ena ble d, the system may b e arme d by simply pressing [
your a c c ess cod e. Ple ase note that pressing [
you must enter a valid a c c ess cod e. Your installer will inform you if the Q uick Arm fe ature has b e en
ena ble d on your system.

Auto Arming

Your system c an b e programme d to automatic ally arm itself a c cording to a programme d sche dule.
Auto arming is programme d by p artition. Thus, all auto arm programming must b e p erforme d from a
keyp a d assigne d to the p artition you wish to program.
To program the auto arm time, enter [
using the military format (H H MM).
To ena ble or disa ble the auto arm fe ature, enter [
either ena ble or disa ble the fe ature. The keyp a d will b e e p 3 times if the fe ature is O N and onc e if it is
O F F.
NOTE: The correct system time and date must be programmed in order for the auto arm feature
to function properly. Please see "Setting the System Date and Time" on page 13 for instructions.
